Mini Hopper

Mini Hopper Oysters fall from the end of the inspection conveyor into the mini hopper, where the elevator picks them up and carries them into the singulator.

Elevator

Evenly spaced cleats transport oysters from the mini hopper into the singulator.

Singulation System

The singulator gently tumbles oysters and distributes them single file into the grader.

Jam Detector

This is a sensor that will automatically pause the machine if there happens to be a buildup of oysters.

Detector/ Imaging system

A custom designed 4-axis sensor array images the oysters and communicates size data to the control screen and motor column.

Control Screen

The control screen is an industrial touch screen panel PC - All program settings and operation of the grader is carried out using the control screen.

Output Chute

Oysters are directed into one of 8 output chutes by an internal J-curve, capable of repositioning more than 10 times every second

Compact Shell Cleaner

The Oystek Grind Off MK3 requires very little room for its setup and operation, within a designated processing area, the Grind Off can be set up on a shelf over or under the work bench.
The hand tool power cord is highly flexible, the connectors are robust as is the hand tool end cap power connector.

Simple To Use

The Oystek Grind Off MK3 is simple to use & easily maintained.

The Grind Off uses a 6 bladed cutter which spins at high speeds to remove small over-catch / barnacle.

Easy Maintenance

The Oystek Grind Off MK3 requires very little maintenance.

It is recommended that the Hand Tool only be wiped clean with a damp cloth, not washed in water.

To ensure that the Grind Off remains in its best condition, we recommend that a wipe down after each day’s use, with removal of excessive shell grit / mud from around cutter base after a week’s use. Apply a couple of drops of light machine oil in the gap at the base of the cutter every week.

Safety Features

The Oystek Grind Off MK3 has a Cutter Guard that will prevent most shell grit from exiting towards the operator.

We recommend wearing safety glasses and cut resistant gloves.

The Grind Off has a safety stall feature to prevent overloading the Hand Tool motor.

Should the cutter catch on a larger piece of over-catch / barnacle, the Control Box will stop the motor for a few seconds and then re-start.

The Oystek Grind Off Grind Off reduces the occurrence of Repetitive Stress Injuries (RSI) compared to culling shell fouling by hand.

Low Labour Cost

The Oystek grader only requires a single person to operate, which means there are very minimal labour costs involved with running the grading machine.
